Websites as news portals

In recent years, there has been a trend of websites acting as news portals that provide news for their readers from various news sources.

This is an interesting concept since such websites differentiates themselves from their blogging counterparts in the sense that the news sources do not originate from a single source, the former of which carries a lower degree of (often unintentional) biases in news reporting or feature writing pieces.

Some examples of websites that collate news and videos include:

www.scoop.it

www.ted.com

www.99u.com

www.flipboard.com (on Apple App Store and Google Play)

www.behance.net (a compilation of the world’s top creative works)

I believe that websites of such nature are on the rise and their content will prove to be useful for students of the General Paper and any other learners and working professionals of all ages who wish to gain knowledge of various domains from various sources.
