This is an interesting article:
While many corporate leaders often declare a dearth of creative talents in their divisions, most creatives are often not offered leadership positions in the first place.
Why would a creative talent stay in an organisation with minimal room for their career progression?
Much as corporate organisations desire creative talents, the “stay-safe” approach which they often adopt usually proves to be their undoing.
One should not forget that effective and/or efficient leaders who often strive for stability (but remain resistant to change) may keep the company afloat but it’s more often than not, the creatives who propel organisations into excellence.
